Providing Hope for Southeast Tennessee

Project Access is a community charity that coordinates specialty medical care between physicians, hospitals, and other community partners that donate their services, and local residents who don't qualify for other programs.

If you're an uninsured resident of Southeast Tennessee, you may be eligible to enroll in Project Access

FOR PATIENTS

We manage the admin work, eligibility, and equitable distribution, allowing you to focus on providing care.

FOR PROVIDERS

Help more Tennesseans receive charity specialty care by giving a tax-deductible donation to Project Access.

FOR EVERYONE

Help is here.

Many people in Southeast Tennessee do not have health insurance, making getting specialty care difficult.

They work hard in one or more low-paying jobs with no health benefits.

They earn too much to qualify for programs like TennCare, but not enough to pay for insurance while still being able to afford basic needs such as food, clothing, and housing.

Project Access was created to help people in this tough spot
access specialty medical care they need.

How Does it work?
Project Access maintains a network of area physicians, hospitals, community clinics, and other partners who donate their services.

Patients who need help with specialty care are referred to Project Access by their primary care physician. If eligible to enroll in the Project Access network, we will identify specialists and schedule your appointments. Most services are are provided at no cost to the patient.*

A Better Way to Give Back

Physicians have always provided charity health care. But it hasn't always been easy to manage or coordinate. Project Access provides a better way for physicians to provide charity care by taking the burden of administration off them and their staff. We screen potential charity care patients to verify they meet program criteria
